What You'll Learn
Certificate II in Sport and Recreation provides students an opportunity to gain a qualification in the sport & recreation industry. The course equips students with knowledge and skills that they can use to pursue a career in sport and recreation centres or facilities assisting with the conduct of recreation activities and facility maintenance and operations. Career outcomes may include sport and recreation participation, customer relations and administrative activities and functions within a team and under supervision. This course is rich in knowledge, fun and with excellent self and group development opportunities.

Duration and Cost
Normal duration for this program is 6 to 9 months; however, lengths will vary to students own self-study commitment, school schedule and allocated times. There is NO training cost for VETiS funding eligible students.

VETis Funding Option
VETiS Funding Option ( VET in Schools): NO TRAINING COST for eligible students.
VET in schools (VETiS) is a Nationally Recognised Training program that is available to secondary school students (Grades 10, 11 and 12) who can explore a career path by enrolling in our courses. VETiS programs are VET programs that are delivered in schools with the Certificate 3 Guarantee (VETiS) funding by the Queensland Government covering the training cost of the program.

VETiS Eligibility Criteria
- Australian/ New Zealand citizen or permanent resident (or on pathway to permanent residency) presently residing in Queensland
- Enrolled in a Queensland school, grades 10, 11 and 12
- Not completed or presently undertaking a program from the Priority Skills list VETiS stream
